A Maldives holiday is really one decision: which island. Everything else — the villa, the meal plan, the price — follows from it. So this page leads with the thing that separates the islands rather than with photographs of water that all look the same.

The transfer is the fact worth reading twice. A 15-minute speedboat and a 45-minute seaplane are different holidays: seaplanes fly in daylight only, so a flight landing in Malé after dark means a night in the city before the hop across, and it is a real cost on top of the room. Every resort below carries its own transfer time for that reason.

Prices are per person on twin share for the land package. Where a resort has no published rate here we quote it on request — we would rather send you a real number than publish one we cannot hold.

Flying from India

Only five Indian airports have a nonstop to Malé. From anywhere else the trip connects through one of them, which is worth knowing before you pick an island — the later you land, the fewer islands you can reach the same day.

Hyderabad: IndiGo flew Hyderabad to Malé nonstop and the service is not currently operating, so the trip connects like any other city without one. It is still advertised as a direct route in a lot of places, so it is worth checking before you plan a day around a flight that is not there.
