The van: our Force Urbania, 16 seats
- 16 passenger seats, one beside the driver
- AC
- Pushback seats
- Charging point at every seat
- Music system
- All-India Tourist Permit
It is one van, and it is ours — the van on this page is the van that comes. A child under two can ride on a parent's lap; everyone else has a seat.
Why groups pick an Urbania for a road trip
A 16-seater keeps a group of twelve to sixteen in one vehicle with one driver, instead of three cars that lose each other at the first toll plaza. Everybody stops when the van stops, and the luggage travels with its owners.
The Urbania is Force Motors' newer van, launched in November 2022 on a platform Force built for it from the ground up. The engine sits outside the passenger cabin, behind a single-panel firewall, and the cabin has stand-up height. In ours every passenger also has a pushback seat and a charging point, which matters more in hour seven on the road to Manali than in hour one.
An All-India permit, and what it means at a state border
Our van holds an All-India Tourist Permit, so it may carry a tourist group into any state. Under the All India Tourist Vehicles (Permit) Rules, 2023, the permit fee is paid once, centrally, and the Ministry of Road Transport wrote to every state in August 2023 telling them not to charge such vehicles a separate passenger tax, border tax or check-post fee.
Tolls are a different thing: every vehicle pays them, and the fare says whether they are in it.
What to send us for a quote
The date you leave and the date you come back, the pickup address, every place you want to stop overnight, and how many people are travelling — children included, and any infant who will sit on a lap. If the trip starts at the airport, add the flight number.
From that we work out the kilometres the trip runs and reply with one figure, and with what is and is not inside it.
How far it is from Delhi
One way, by road, before stops. Your pickup address moves these by a few kilometres; a hill road takes longer in a 16-seater than in a car.

What the fare is made of
An outstation fare is worked out from the kilometres the trip runs and the days it takes; an airport transfer is one fare for the van. Send the trip on WhatsApp and the reply is one figure, with what is and is not inside it.
