Under three hours of flying separates Marina Bay's skyline from Ubud's rice terraces, and the contrast is the whole point: three nights of city glamour, five of barefoot villa life. Why this combo works (and which order to do it)
Do Singapore first. You'll land jet-lag-free into an easy, organised city, spend three high-energy nights, then descend into Bali's slower rhythm — the reverse order leaves you ending the honeymoon with city logistics instead of a beach sunset. Flights from India route through Singapore anyway, so the stopover costs nothing extra in routing.
Nights 1–3: Singapore — the glamour leg
- Day 1: arrive, Marina Bay evening walk, Spectra light show, rooftop nightcap.
- Day 2: Gardens by the Bay morning, ArtScience or pool afternoon, sunset river cruise, dinner at Clarke Quay.
- Day 3: Sentosa — cable car at golden hour, beach club afternoon, Wings of Time. (Theme-park couples: swap in Universal Studios.)

Nights 4–8: Bali — the romance leg
Fly Singapore → Denpasar (2h40m; Scoot, Singapore Airlines and AirAsia all run multiple dailies). Then split Bali in two:
Nights 4–5: Ubud — jungle and culture
- Private pool villa amid the rice fields (₹8,000–20,000/night gets genuine luxury here).
- Tegallalang rice terraces at 7am before the crowds, the Campuhan Ridge walk, a couples' spa afternoon — Ubud massages cost a fifth of Singapore prices.
- Dinner idea: a candlelit table at a jungle-edge restaurant; book Locavore-tier places weeks ahead.
Nights 6–8: Uluwatu or Seminyak — cliffs and beaches
- Uluwatu for drama: clifftop resorts, the Kecak fire dance at the temple at sunset, hidden beaches below.
- Seminyak for ease: beach clubs (Potato Head, Ku De Ta), shopping, sunset cocktails.
- Final morning: slow breakfast, one last swim, afternoon flight home from DPS.
Visas and paperwork for Indians

- If you fly home via Changi again, make the Singapore visa multiple-entry.

Mistakes couples make with this combo
- Splitting days evenly. 4+4 shortchanges Bali — transfer days eat into it. 3+5 is the ratio.
- Three Bali hotels in five nights. Two bases maximum; Bali traffic makes every move a half-day.
- Booking Bali villas by photos alone. "Rice-field view" can mean a construction site next door — book through someone who has seen the property (or at minimum, read the newest reviews, not the best ones).
- No buffer before the international flight home. Denpasar traffic is chaos; be at DPS 3 hours early.
